Perhaps not quite as catchy as John Devner’s version, but it’s more accurate for me. Home things are starting to wind down and school things are starting to wind up. I’m really looking forward to going back and seeing everyone again! I’m even sort of looking forward to the grind of classes, though not as much. As many of you know, I’m going to be one of the two RA’s of 41 this next year, so I head back early (leaving the 17th) for the IMPACT retreat. This will be my first year as an RA. Please pray that I’m able to fill the role adequately. I really want to see 41 continue to grow as a strong brotherhood built on the foundation of Christ.
On another note, I went to see Phantom of the Opera for the second time today. What a fantastic movie! Andrew Lloyd Webber’s wonderful music combined with Joel Schumacher’s stunning visuals is really something to experience. The story, while not exactly thought intensive, is emotionally powerful and very well executed. I saw the movie at the local Fox Theatre, which is a surprisingly good movie theatre. The sound and picture quality were better than the local Mall 8, and maybe even better than the Warren in Wichita. Unfortunately, not many people go there anymore (there were maybe 20 in the crowd today), so this may be the last season they show movies.
I should probably start packing at some point.
Be seeing you, soon!
