I probably should have posted an update a while ago, but I’ve been incredibly busy. I arrived safely in Longview last Wednesday evening (the 17th) and immediately started the unpacking process. Thanks to generous help from many people, but especially Pebble, I was able to finish most of the major construction on my room by Thursday evening. I think drawing out the basic floor plan before I got here helped. After that, IMPACT training started. The freshmen showed up on the 25th, training ended on the 26th, and the rest of the upper classmen will return tomorrow.

The year looks like it will be a good one. We got a quality group of freshmen for our floor and I think they’ll all fit in well. My course load will be difficult, but hopefully at least one notch below the insanity level.

Between IMPACT training, my new RA duties for checkins, helping people move their stuff, my brother moving onto the floor, and my parents being here, I haven’t had much free time. I will sleep well tonight, tomorrow will be another busy day.
