My actual certificate for my Certificate in Applied Linguistics came in the mail the other day. It’s nice to have a physical representation of actually completing all that stuff. Still not sure what I’ll use it for, but I’m glad I did it.

I finally selected an apartment and have started the unpacking process. Part of this process involved a visit to the Swedish furniture empire Ikea so I could have a place to put some of the stuff I’m unpacking. I’ve never been to one of those before, and it was a bit mind-boggling. I didn’t realize that much furniture and furniture-related stuff could exist in one place.
